2016 Scholarship awarded to Mallori White

My name is Mallori White and I am currently a sophomore at Texas State University in San Marcos. I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics with a Recreation Administration Minor.  My goals for the future are to work in finance preferably at a camp or recreational facility. I love kids and hope to work with them in the future. I work at Olympia Hills Gymnastics as an after school coach, and I love my job. I am very involved in my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta and am currently serving as an officer as the New Member Educator Assistant. Within my sorority I serve our philanthropy, Girls on the Run through volunteering at the bi-annual 5K and various fundraisers. I am also involved in YoungLife college which gave me the opportunity to serve on missions in San Jose, Costa Rica over Spring Break. I am also preparing to be a Cat Camp counselor this summer at Texas State to serve the incoming Freshman and help them get accustomed to college life.
