2017 Scholarship awarded to Rachel Paholek

My name is Rachel Alyse Paholek, and next year I will be a freshman at The University of Texas in Austin. I plan to study business and eventually earn my Master’s in Accounting to become a licensed CPA. In high school I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, which is two-year program of college level courses with emphasis on research, community service, and developing a more worldly view. All four years of high school I was on the Varsity tennis team, and I plan to continue playing competitively on the Club Team at UT. I have served my community through self-led projects, United Way, my church youth group, National Honors Society, and USTA. Next semester I plan to join various service organizations at UT.
