RWP - Applicants
The purpose of the scholarships provided by the RWPEF are to give, on a non-discriminatory basis, financial assistance for students to complete studies at a trade or certificate program, two-year College or four-year university program. The scholarship distribution amount will total to $500 per academic semester, per person for the duration of the recipients collegiate years, provided they continue to uphold specific criteria as stated in the scholarship agreement.
In order to be eligible to receive a scholarship from the RWPEF you must be a graduating senior of a high school in either one of the following Texas counties: Wood, Brazos, Burleson, Robertson, Grimes, Leon, Madison or Washington; you must also meet the minimum requirement GPA of a 2.75 (High School) and have demonstrated a commitment to community service. Also, you will also need to provide evidence of your acceptance into a trade or certificate program, two-year college or four-year university (a college I.D.) prior to receiving the actual monies.
The deadline to for the upcoming Fall academic year is July 1st. Once the board of directors has reviewed and selected two students for the reward they will be notified by both letter and e-mail by August 1st. Recipients of the scholarships will be invited to the RPWEF fundraising event in August following acceptance.
